High quality 8740 CrMo alloy. Tensile strength of 1380 N/mm² (compared to a standard 10.9 screw only has a tensile strength of approx. 900 N/mm²).
After hardening, the thread is rolled on, allowing 10 times the fatigue strength.
Advantage over conventional cylinder head bolts: The tightening load is shifted from the engine block to the bolt heads. This protects the thread surfaces in the engine block.
